The architectural styles and features


The place I call home, the beautiful, sunny Sutherland Shire has a rich history dating back to

the time when Captain Cook anchored his ‘Majestic Bark Endeavour’ in Botany Bay on his

first epic voyage. Thought to be named after Forby Sutherland, a sailor on the 'Endeavour',

much of the old Colonial Architecture in the Shire was inspired and influenced by the cultural

background of these Early Settlers.
